Hockey Player Emerson Etem recently tweeted that there nothing to do in Buffalo, and that Medicine Hat Canada was a much nicer place. Here are a few events happening in Medicine Hat, let's see what makes them Paradise:

EVENING FAMILY STORY TIME - these drop in story times are fun for toddlers through ten year olds as well as their parents, grandparents, and friends. Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs and an activity to celebrate a new theme each week. Pajamas and teddy bears welcome!

Thursday Afternoon at the Movies presents: SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS(1954) - Encouraged by their brother’s new wife (Jane Powell), six brothers set off to town find brides for themselves, singing and dancing all the way. With Howard Keel, Russ Tamblyn. Followed by afternoon tea courtesy of the Veiner Centre.

Who Picked This Book Club? MISTRESS OF NOTHING - The book chosen for discussion is The Mistress of Nothing by Kate Pullinger, a story of a Victorian aristocrat who is exiled by health to Luxor, Egypt and her maid who finds freedom but is reminded that she is truly the mistress of nothing. Based on a true story and winner of the Governor General’s Award for Fiction in 2009.
There are so many fun and wonderful things to do in Medicine Hat, especially with a large population of 61,000, unlike buffalo with the small population of 270, 240.
