You've probably heard about a pretty big game taking place this weekend at Highmark Stadium. It will feature the New England Patriots coming to Orchard Park to play the Buffalo Bills this Saturday night for a Wild Card Round playoff game.

The Bills (11-6) and Patriots (10-7) both finished with winning records in 2021, with Buffalo taking the AFC East crown for the second straight season.

The Bills are going into this playoff matchup very healthy. In fact, it's probably the healthiest they've been all season.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has missed three of the last four games with a leg injury, but will be a full participant at practice today, according to head coach Sean McDermott. Other than Efe Obada, who missed last game as well, the Bills should have everyone ready to go for Saturday night.

But what about adding another piece to the team? They added running back Devonta Freeman and wide receiver Kenny Stills to the practice squad last year during their playoff run, and maybe that happens again with a familiar name on the defensive side of the ball?

The New York Jets released defensive end Shaq Lawson last week. He spent the first four years of his career in Buffalo, from 2016-2019. He signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins in 2020, before being traded to the Houston Texans in 2021, and later, the Jets.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott was asked on Tuesday about whether or not Lawson would be someone they consider signing this week, and McDermott said more than his usual standard line.

"We're always looking," said McDermott. "Shaq's always a guy that's high on my list."

UPDATE: Shaq Lawson has agreed to a deal with the Bills, according to Trainwreck Sports.

The Bills probably would have to beat New England and advance to the divisional round, in order for Lawson to make any impact, if they do decide to add him to the roster.

We'll see if general manager Brandon Beane decides to do that, or stick with the roster as is.
