It has been a great season for those who own a snowmobile in the Western New York area. The snow has been falling just about every day and the frigid temperatures have kept the water holes closed up on the hundreds of miles of trails. But the trail system can't stay maintained without your support of the clubs who work overtime to keep you riding.

The Hamburg Snowmobile Club invites you to join them this weekend for a bite to eat and a great cause.

In an email sent to WYRK, organizers asked us to share...

We will have hotdogs, drinks for sale also have marshmallows and hot chocolate for the kids. We will have all three groomers on site and will be giving rides. It's from 12 to 4 at the Newton Road drop Point in Chestnut Ridge. Riders can get there from C4 A on the trail system.

There is a good chance for some significant snowfall this Saturday and the trails will be just about perfect. Keep in mind that it is also Valentine's Day weekend and might make for a nice date!

If you are not a member yet, I encourage you to join a snowmobile club. There are many around Western New York and it is the clubs and it's members who design the trails and also keep good relationships with the landowners. Being on their property is a privilege and the clubs work hard each year to ensure that respect for the land the trails go through is priority.

Have fun and ride safe!!
