Living in Western New York, there is absolutely one thing we can be sure of: snow will happen in Buffalo. Sometimes that snow comes in epic proportions and we need to be ready for an emergency weather event.
Mercy Hospital is apparently witnessing a baby boom just nine months after the large snowstorm that buried Western New York last November. The hospital is apparently seeing a 25 to 30 percent increase in births, according to WKBW, putting the number of babies born per moth to around 300.

A Lake effect snow warning remains in effect from 11 p.m. this evening through 1 a.m. Friday for Erie, Genesee and Wyoming counties. This includes metro Buffalo.
