Being a teenager is a perilous time in one's life as a not-quite fully developed brain will cause the teen to make all kinds of questionable decisions. Now thanks to a new phenomenon called sleep-texting, the teenager can even make these bad decisions while they are catching z's.

Although it became a widely used form of communication only recently, texting is actually a decades-old technology. In fact, it celebrated its 20th birthday on Monday, which makes it older than most of the kids who use it. OMG!

Texting while driving? Dangerous. Texting while walking? Generally just a bit impolite if you're in a crowded area. At least, that's normally the case. If you live near a cliff, it might not be a great idea.

We already know texting while driving is bad, but new research seems to indicate that even before kids are old enough to get behind the wheel, texting might have another downfall: it’s making their grammar worse.

You’ve probably seen the countless YouTube videos of people so transfixed by their mobile phones that they walk into inanimate objects or fall into fountains. And while it’s easy to laugh at such incidents, the truth is that distracted pedestrians can cause serious harm to themselves or other people — and now one New Jersey town is taking a stand.

It turns out suffers from alcohol dependency might be able to kick the habit by doing what comes natural… texting. Yup, a new study has found actual evidence that there may be a health benefit to text messaging.

Buckle your seat belts, folks. According to Harris Poll chairman Humphrey Taylor regarding a new survey, “The number of drivers who engage in potentially dangerous, in some cases extremely dangerous, behaviors while driving is terrifyingly high.”

According to a survey of 2,227 adults by the Pew Research Center, the average text message user sends or receives an average of 41.5 messages a day. How much someone texts is not surprisingly tied to how old they are. Those in the 18-to-29 age group send or receive an average of 87.7 texts a day, whereas that total is only 4.7 for those in the 65-and-over group.

Did this lady show up to the movie late or something?... Not sure if she has never been to a movie before, or what her theaters previews include. But, most theaters insist that you DO NOT add your own sound track (as they put it), which means no texting, talking, or phone calls during the film! Sorry hunnie, they might have overreacted but it's still a rule!

Last week, a texting driver was caught on camera hitting the guard rail then smashing into two cars. A blogger who had caught the incident on his iPhone notified police even before the crash.
