‘Terminator’ Reboot Script Approved by Arnold Schwarzenegger
With production on the new 'Terminator' reboot set to begin this April and original Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger set to make his return, we've been anxious to hear more details -- and while we still don't know any specifics, we know this: Schwarzenegger himself has seen the script for the film, and he definitely approves.
The news comes via The Arnold Fans page, who attended the Arnold Sports Festival fan event in Columbus, where Schwarzenegger was on hand to answer questions -- naturally, talk turned to the upcoming 'Terminator' reboot, which recently cast Jai Courtney in the role of Kyle Reese. Schwarzenegger wasn't able to provide plot specifics, but he did comment on the shooting locations and his opinion on the script:
We start filming in the middle or in the end of April and it will be a four or four-and-a-half month long shoot. "We will be filming it in New Orleans with some of it in San Francisco and maybe a little of it in LA but most of it will be done in New Orleans. I'm really looking forward to that because as you know, the last time when they did the Terminator, it was when I was Governor and so I couldn't be in that movie but now I'm back again and they are very excited about having me in the film ... The script is fantastic so I'm really looking forward to this film.
And there you have it. Schwarzenegger says it's fantastic, and with 'Thor: The Dark World' director Alan Taylor at the helm, we're remaining optimistic for now. The reboot will also star Emilia Clarke from 'Game of Thrones' as Sarah Connor, as well as Jason Clarke, who also stars in the upcoming 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes.' Patrick Lussier, who previously scripted 'Drive Angry,' is writing the screenplay.
The 'Terminator' reboot will hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
