Built in 1899 and still standing at 184 Connecticut St. on the city’s West Side, the Armory was designed by architect Isaac G. Perry. Perry was also behind armories in Geneva, N.Y., Niagara Falls, and Olean, as well as the Richardson Romanesque-style New York State Inebriate Asylum in Binghamton. All of these buildings are National Historic Landmarks.

Today, the Army National Guard occupies some of the space in the building.
