Local Country Band Has To Clear The Air For Buffalo
There was a misunderstanding the other night in Buffalo as one of Western New York’s premier country bands were setting up for a performance this weekend.
OsbornNash is this year’s Taste of Country Riser, which means they will be opening up the biggest country show of the summer, performing with Walker Hayes, Billy Currington, Thompson Square, and Tim McGraw.
And while people know the name “OsbornNash,” you may not know what they actually represent.
Before a recent performance, OsbornNash heard a concert goer say something that sat with them afterwards, and the duo took to Facebook to clear the air.
“We heard a statement made about us one night at one of our performances while we were setting up and felt the need to address it here so that there is no confusion,” OsbornNash wrote in a Facebook post.
Then, they broke the news.
“We are not a cover band made up of "Ozzy Osbourne" and "Crosby, Stills & Nash".”
That would be an interesting take on a country music duo…haha!
No. They are not a cover band made up of “Ozzy Osbourne” and “Crosby, Stills, & Nash,” but rather a band made up of two people who ironically have similar names to these artists.
“OsbornNash” is made up of Liz Osborn and Bob Campbell-Nash, so it’s simply a coincidence in names.
“We are just "OsbornNash" - Liz & Bob - doing our originals & more,” the group wrote on Facebook.
And you can hear them perform those original songs at the WYRK Toyota Taste of Country on June 17th. While the concert itself is sold out, there are still ways to win tickets, and you can find out how to win here.
