Some of the small cities in and around Buffalo have made it to the list of the Best Small Cities in America.

According to WalletHub and it's findings,

WalletHub compared more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 43 key indicators of livability. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita.

Tonawanda did very well on the list locally. It checks in around the 80th percentile whereas it's neighbor in North Tonawanda landed in the 73rd.

Western New York is typically referred to as "the Buffalo area". However, there are so many great smaller cities that we can celebrate in the area. If you have ever traveled to large metropolitan areas like New York City or Dallas or Chicago, the first thing you may notice is the large amount of traffic. Big cities may have us beat in terms of pace and being ahead of the curve with trends like fashion. But I would be willing to trade that for a quick commute and cheaper cost of living any day!

Sure, we have our ups and downs with our professional sports teams. But living in Western New York we know the true value lies within the people who live here. No doubt we would be in the 99th percentile on that list.
