The Buffalo Bills' front office has done a nice job re-signing players to extended contracts this year. Could this potential move be what gets them over the hump?

It's the nagging question for the Buffalo Bills. What is that one thing that they need to help them get over the hump? One analyst suggested they might need to look to a former player for the Miami Dolphins to be that missing piece.

The Dolphins announced that they would be moving on from veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey this week.  They will be attempting to trade him.

"Really after a couple weeks of discussions between ourselves internally and Jalen and his representation, we decided that it was probably in the best interest for all parties to move forward," - Miami Dolphins General Manager Chris Grier

Ryan Clark thinks Ramsey would make a good fit on the Buffalo Bills

This week, ESPN analyst and former defensive back Ryan Clark argued that Ramsey could be the best fit for the Bills because cornerback is one of their biggest needs. He said that the reason the Bills lost to the Chiefs in the playoffs was because the Bills had a soft secondary. He added that it's his versatility in the secondary that would make him valuable in Buffalo.

Would Jalen Ramsey be a good fit in Buffalo?

While I agree that the Bills could use some help in their secondary, it doesn't feel like Jalen Ramsey is the answer. Bills fans will never forget how Ramsey called Josh Allen trash early in his career (something that we don't think Allen has forgotten either).  He just doesn't seem to be the kind of guy that Beane and McDermott want in their locker room.

While it's almost always good to have veteran leadership in a locker room, they need to be the right kind of veterans.

It's time to build for the future on that defense.  Look to grab a guy early in the draft who can learn from Benford, who has become one of the best in the league at that position.  It just doesn't feel like Ramsey is the answer here.  Besides, we already have the NFL's best trash talker.
