Now the Chautauqua County Executive says his county will be included in the U.S. Air Force’s flyover of Western New York today (5/12/20).

Officials say three F-35s from the Vermont National Guard will break away from formation in Buffalo and head to Chautauqua County for a Chautauqua Lake flyover.

The public should look for them between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m.

The Chautauqua County Executive told WIVB-TV...

“I encourage all residents to watch the skies over Chautauqua Lake for this special salute to our area healthcare workers, first responders and graduating seniors,” ... “I thank the Air Force and Vermont National Guard for including our county in this unique recognition and I hope this flyover will bring us all a sense of appreciation and comradery during these trying times.”

News 4 meteorologists expect Sunny weather for the flyover, which has not been the norm of late here in Western New York...so don't forget your sunglasses.
