The signing of Vince Young will not start a quarterback controversy in Buffalo. Everyone knows that Ryan Fitzpatrick is the starter. But should Fitz get hurt, Vince Young is a good signing for the Bills. Yancy Thigpen isn't an option if the Bills want to make the playoffs, and with the signing of Mario Williams and a much improved defense, Young is an excellent insurance policy for the Bills. Young, the third overall pick in the 2006 draft, was a starter for the Tennesse Titans and was in the pro bowl twice, the last time in 2010.He dominated in college, mounting an improbable comeback in the National Championship game against USC in 2006. At times, he looked like Superman. He tried to ressurect his career in Philly last season but didn't play much and he's already 29. While he won't won't throw a ton of touchdown passes, his mobility is something that Bills fans should get excited about. They have never had such a mobile QB on the roster and it could make for some interesting wildcat formations with Brad Smith. And who knows, Michael Vick learned to throw the ball last year, maybe Young learned something too.
