The eleventh week of the 2025 NFL season has arrived, and the hometown Buffalo Bills have big expectations for this game in an effort to keep pace in the AFC. If the 2025/26 Playoffs were to start today, the Bills would be the 6th seed and would have to travel on the road to New England for a wild-card game against the Patriots.

In order to prevent that from happening, the Bills have a few things they need to work on starting now, and they can get over the hump with a victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This game marks the 14th time these teams have faced each other since the Bucs entered the NFL in 1976. While the Bucs lead the all-time series with 8 victories, they have never won a game in Orchard Park, and thanks to some gritty play from Buffalo, they would not get a victory today.

Buffalo Returns To Winning Ways After Beating Tampa Bay 44-32

The game got off to a slow start for the Bills as Josh Allen threw an early 1st quarter interception, which ultimately led to a field goal for the Bucs as Kicker Chase McLaughlin got to work early to give Tampa Bay a 3-point lead.

The Bucs didn't hold the lead long, as Josh Allen led the Bills back down the field on the ensuing possession, which he capped with a two-yard scoring run, the first of 6 total touchdowns for Allen in the game.

The rest of the game saw a lot more scoring for both teams as it seemed that the Bills and Bucs went back and forth putting points on the board. The game, which saw 8 total lead changes after the first quarter, was a big shoutout.

Both Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield, who are part of the same draft class, played well. Allen went 19/30 for 317 yards through the air and another 40 on the ground, while Mayfield went 16/28 for 173 yards passing and 39 yards rushing.

While the Bills were able to outlast the Bucs and put up several big scores, some of the same issues we've identified that need to be worked on were present today.

Hopefully the Bills can continue to work on thier ball handling, turnovers, and game plan as they have a short week to get ready for the next game as they travel to Houston to face the Texans on Thursday Night Football.
