Well, This Is Strange–A Couple in WNY Was Keeping A Deer Upstairs In Their House

True story.

The State DEC got a call from a neighbor that said a couple took a deer from outside and had it living upstairs in their home in Jamestown.

Apparently, the man said that he was told he could keep the deer for up to 6 weeks in his home. He found out that was not true and was given a ticket from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for illegal possession of protected wildlife.

The deer was okay.
