Is Western New York The Best Place To Buy A Lottery Ticket?

Everyone wants to win the lottery, and it seems like Western New York may be the luckiest spot to make your lottery ticket purchase. 

You may remember in December 2021, the New York State Lottery announced that a $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold in Buffalo. It was purchased at Perry Market Place, located at 121 N. Center Street in Perry. 

The following month, in January 2022, there was a Take 5 Ticket sold in Hamburg that was worth approximately $30,000. That winning ticket was sold at Blackwell’s on Camp Road.

Most recently, the lucky location in Western New York seems to be in West Seneca, where a Take 5 lottery worth more than $40,000 was sold over the weekend.

On March 5, the Ebenezer Stop & Shop in West Seneca sold a winning lottery ticket worth $43,596. The winning numbers were 2-14-26-38-39.

You can never be certain that you’ll purchase a winning ticket, but it seems like the odds are ever in your favor when you purchase a ticket in Western New York. If you have been debating whether or not to play the lottery, this might be your sign! But play with caution.
