Everyone has a list of some fairly ambitious things they’d like to get around to before they die, which often include activities like skydiving, visiting some exotic location, or getting rid of your significant other for 6 months and picking up 20 grand along the way?

Intrigued? How about hiking the Appalachian Trail, a 2,200-mile footpath that stretches between Maine and Georgia? The journey can take up to seven months to complete, which may be a bit of a barrier if you only have 3.5 vacation days left.

If you are still interested you may never find a better opportunity than the one being offered by Devils Backbone, a Virginia brewery that’s currently on the hunt for a “Chief Hiking Officer,” a position whose responsibilities include hiking the trail, documenting your travels, and throwing some parties along the way while getting hooked up with all of the gear you need and paid $20,000 for your troubles.

When you consider how much of an undertaking this adventure is, anyone who wants to apply needs to have ample hiking experience, and when you considered you’ll be employed by a craft brewery, you’re going to need some expertise in that realm as well.

Your journey as Chief Hiking Officer (if you chose to accept it) will take place next year. If you think you have what it takes, you can apply here.
