Take this out of the "this happened in Buffalo?" page. A WW1 era mortar shell was found behind the wall of a Parkside Avenue resident's wall! The mortar shell was found when the homeowner was tearing down some paneling damaged by last week's flooding.

According to WKBW, the police were called and after there initial investigation called in the "fire department, bomb squad, and eventually, bomb specialists from the U.S. Air Force." The bomb was eventually removed wrapped in bomb blankets not knowing if the ammunition was live or not.

There is no word why or how the bomb got behind the paneling or if there are more to be found.
