There's no shortage of ice cream stops in Buffalo and Western New York. They're all over the City of Buffalo and the suburbs. From big ice cream shops that also serve food to small stands that keep people coming back every spring and summer.

However, there are plenty of ice cream places that no longer exist that Western New Yorkers miss so much. They could've been in business in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or even as recently as the last 20 years.

I remember going to a place that was on Niagara Falls Blvd (and we're talking mid-90s), that is where the current Anderson's is now. It was called Custard's Last Stand and was next to Ted's. I remember going there on a school field trip when I went to Willow Ridge Elementary in Amherst. They had an orange custard cone which I adored as a 5-year-old.

Does anyone remember the old Antoinette's on Union Road? It was Antoinette's On The Hill, which is now a Nick Charlap's location. It wasn't that long ago it changed hands, but that's another one I remember.
