Ace Frehley will be performing a free concert at the Erie County Fair August 17th at 8 P.M. Most famous for his part in KISS, let's take a look and see what Ace has been up to since his departure from the band.

Because of disputes with producer Bob Ezrin, who was cutting several of Ace's guitar solos out of the final recordings, Ace quit KISS and began planning for a solo career in 1984. Ace also felt former bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley never gave him the credit he deserved.  He assembled musicians Anton Fig, Richie Scarlet, Arthur Stead, and John Regan to his newly created band "Frehley's Comet." Although the band had recorded a few demos, their first album was not released until 1987. The most popular song from the album, Frehley's Comet, was called "Into the Night" and recieved commercial success.

Frehley would go on to release a new album in both 1988 (Second Sighting) and 1989 (Trouble Walkin'). Although Frehley and the band returned to a more hard rock sound, album sales were on the decline. Frehley continued his solo career touring with different musicians and appearing in several lineups as a guest until 1996. Frehley rejoined KISS as part of their reunion tour, and stayed with the band until their farewell tour in 2002.

On September 15th 2009, Frehley released his latest solo album Anomaly on the third anniversary of him becoming sober after years of drug and alcohol abuse. The single from this album was a song called "Fox on the Run."
