Amazing Rescue From Burning Car Near Walden Avenue Caught on Camera

A dump truck flipped and burst into flames in the Cheektowaga area on Monday. But even more amazing than the footage of the flames is the daring rescue that followed.

The rescuer on scene at first approached the burning truck with a metal bar in an effort to save the driver, who was trapped inside, according to WIVB Channel 4. However, the rescuer, Ed Brunner, couldn't get close enough due to the heat of the flames; so he instead threw concrete at the vehicle on fire's window, cracking it enough so the driver could kick it out and escape.
