Lacrosse Kids Can Learn From The Best In Buffalo
While it's a sport that's been played for generations in North America, it's really starting to begin catching on among different communities in the United States and Canada. Modern-day lacrosse, both field lacrosse and box lacrosse, has roots that run deep in Native American communities that go all the way back to well beyond the 17th century when Europeans began arriving on the shores of America.
People from the Haudenosaunee Nation have been playing the sport for centuries, and it should come as no surprise that Buffalo and Western New York embrace lacrosse as a major sport in the region.
You just need to go down to the KeyBank Center on a Friday or Saturday, or to any school or park around town to see boys and girls out with the sticks trying to put the ball in the net. If you have a kid who's into Lacrosse, then you have a chance for them to be trained by two of the best players in the National Lacrosse League in a Lacrosse Clinic that's coming up soon, courtesy of the Buffalo Bandits.
Bandits Stars Josh Byrne & Dhane Smith Are Hosting Lacrosse Clinics In Buffalo
If you've spent more than 5 minutes in Western New York, then you likely have quickly learned that Buffalo is a hockey town that has a big eating, drinking, football, and lacrosse problem. Which, of course, is good to have when you're home to the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League.

The Bandits have established themselves as a pure dynasty in indoor lacrosse over the years, with the team routinely being in league championship year after year. In order to be so good, you need some stellar players on your side, and two of the best to ever do it are looking to help bring up the next generation of lacrosse players.
Bandits stars Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith are hosting lacrosse clinics for boys and girls this summer, and your kid can learn a lot from these two.
On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the Bandits are taking over the sports fields at Buffalo's Nichols High School for lacrosse clinics for boys and girls in grades 2 through 12.
My son has had the benefit of being coached and trained by former Bandit Chris Cloutier during his time in Buffalo, and I can tell you without a doubt this might be a good thing for your kid if they're into lacrosse, or wanna learn more about it.
You can find out more details and register for sessions on the Buffalo Bandits website.
