The quicker this next Bills game comes, the better. Fans are trying their best to erase what happened against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday, which was a brutal 9-6 loss -- a game the Bills were 15.5-point favorites.

The Bills play at the New York Jets this Sunday, which is the first of two games against their division rival this season.

Fans are hoping they don't have nearly as many penalties this Sunday against the Jets, as they saw in the Jaguars game. The Bills were called for 12 penalties, while the Jaguars were called for 8.

Unfortunately, we might be in for more of the same.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed on WGR radio in Buffalo that this referee crew who is calling the Bills-Jets game on Sunday, has called more penalties in the NFL than any crew (led by official, Scott Novak).

McDermott stressed that his team has to play disciplined.

This news from McDermott comes on the heels of the controversy from Monday Night Football, where Chicago Bears linebacker Cassius Marsh was called for unsportsmanlike conduct after celebrating a sack of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on what would have brought up fourth and long.

Referee Tony Corrente called the penalty after bumping into Marsh as he was running off to the sideline. Corrente says the penalty was for "taunting" the Steelers sideline.

The penalty gave the Steelers a first down. They eventually kicked a field goal and would go on to win the game 29-27.

Last night, fans saw what might have been the worst roughing the passer penalty of the season, when Miami Dolphins cornerback Jevon Holland grazed Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Lamar Jackson.

It's been a rough watch for NFL fans this season. It's gotten to the point that I can't enjoy any good plays, because I'm always looking for a potential flag. That's not any way to watch a game.

If there are lots of penalties on Sunday for Bills-Jets, you were at least warned beforehand...
