Seriously? Not ONE Buffalo Burger Up for Best in New York

This has to be a misprint because a great food city like Buffalo cannot be left off a list like this.

Apparently, Buffalo has beef with the New York Beef Council. Right now, you can vote on the best burgers in New York State. There are many to choose from, but Buffalo isn't represented.

What About Western New York in General?

If you count Rochester and places bordering what most would call WNY and the Finger Lakes region, there are eight places in Western New York up for best burger. However, if we are being honest about it, there are really only two places in WNY that are definitely from here. It's a bit of a shock, really. Buffalo is known for its pub food, and while it's the home of wings and beef on 'weck, it's easy to get a great burger all around the city and suburbs.

The 2 Western New York Restaurants Up For Best Burger

While Buffalo may have gotten a bit of the shaft, that's not to take anything away from the two stellar places that are nominated and deserve your votes and support. They are, after all, phenomenal burgers.

1. Rock Burger

Rock Burger started in Niagara Falls. While it has locations in Buffalo, technically, the nomination goes to the Falls. That's cool, by the way. All their locations are incredible!

2. Somewhere Bar and Grill in Youngstown.

This hometown favorite doesn't post a lot of food pics on their Facebook page, unfortunately. However, places like this are a lock for amazing food and hilariously fun times. Just look at their St. Patrick's parties on Facebook. CLICK HERE.

The other sort of WNY locations nominated are Clutch on the Canal, Grovers Bar & Grill, Maybe Baby Burger, Moo'd Burger Bar, Paddy's Pub & Grill, and Tap It Bar and Grill. All are in Rochester or South of it, which makes it a little tough to claim them as Western New York. All of them look incredible, by the way, and if you're out that way, you should visit them.

It's just shocking that only two definitively WNY places are nominated, and NONE from Buffalo itself!
