Bills Player Gives Veteran A Needed Wheelchair Through Foundation

You might not know who Bills offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle is, but it's his foundation that is making its mark in the Buffalo community.

Waddle is currently on injured reserve with a quad injury but he and his wife's foundation, Waddle’s Warriors, is still making an impact for peole in need. The foundation helps underprivileged children, first responders and veterans, according to WIVB.

The foundation recently gave a powered wheelchair to a veteran named Timothy McCann, who suffered an accident this summer that paralyzed him from the chest down.

The wheelchair came from a woman who donated it through the foundation, after her father passed away from pneumonia.

“Her father Louis, it was actually his wheelchair. He passed away this past Memorial Day from a case of pneumonia that he just couldn’t kick,” said Shelby Waddle."

The Waddle's showed up to Buffalo General Hospital within days of getting the wheelchair and delivered it to McCann.

“They’re around $20,000 so for us to be able to give that to him is just amazing,” said Waddle.

This story is incredible and even though the Waddle family is new to Buffalo, their willingness to help out the community is unmatched.
