There is a race that is being organized for veterans to support the Buffalo Military and Naval Park and Veterans One-Stop Center in Buffalo this November.

Up until now, this race has raised over $25,000 and there is a goal this year to increase that by double. The 10th anniversary of the Veterans Race will take place on November 6 at the Buffalo Military and Naval park in downtown Buffalo.

Organizers tell us that there are three purposes for the race to Protect to Preserve and to Honor.

The race will take place on the Saturday before Veterans Day this year, and those who register will receive a custom bib and race gloves! There is an option to add on a 10th anniversary commemorative beach towel for the race.

Southern Tier Brewing Company will host a post race party for the veterans race and this sounds like a great opportunity for those who are interested in sponsorship as well.

Get your training going and get registered and be there for an exciting day to support those who have put on the uniform who are or who are currently serving this great country.

There was a big moment this past weekend at Highmark Stadium as the Buffalo Bills honored a veteran from Buffalo. Paul Catalano served in World War 2 and this week has celebrated his 100th birthday! Like other veterans who have served, it was an honor to celebrate the moment Paul was introduced in front of nearly 70,000 people! It may have been the most patriotic moment I have been a part of.
