Quinton Spain has been a very reliable acquisition for The Bills.  He started every game for them last season. Today, he got cut and he left a mysterious tweet.

Very few players can say that they made it an entire season without missing a game due to injury.  But Quinton Spain can.  He started all 16 games for the Buffalo Bills last year.  Which many would guess was the reason for his contract extension this year.  He was in year one of that extension.  Today, he was cut from the team.

The Bills confirmed the move shortly after on Twitter...

Why would a team that was already short on offensive linemen after the loss of Jon Feliciano at the beginning of the season, and now Cody Ford after last week's game against the Chiefs cut a player that had proven to be so reliable?

Business decisions happen.  There are always new reasons why a team would move on from a player.  More often than not, they aren't personal.  But the tweet that followed was a little more mysterious.

It said, "only if they knew the real reason but I'm going to leave it at that."

That tweet was deleted minutes later.

Is there something more happening behind closed doors that we don't know about in the Buffalo Bills organization?

The Bills are now on a two game slide after losing to the Tennessee Titans last Tuesday night, and then the Kansas City Chiefs the following Monday.  They will try to get the train back on the tracks as they head to New York to take on the winless Jets at 1pm on Sunday.
