Buffalo BIlls Lose Huge Part of Their Defense
A main figure in the Bills' defense for the past 5 years is leaving and getting a massive payday.
The Buffalo Bills entered the 2023 off-season knowing that they were likely going to lose some key players. They don't have a lot of salary cap room and with many contracts on big names expiring it was inevitable that they would lose some fan favorites and well-known players this season.
Jordan Poyer is one of the players they could lose, as he has been signaling on social media that he is likely to leave. That still remains to be seen.
What we do know is the BIlls will no longer have Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.
The Buffalo Bills lost Edmunds today during the legal tampering period to the Chicago Bears. The Bears signed Edmunds to a massive 4 year, $72 Million deal according to Ian Rapaport. $50 Million of it is guaranteed.
Edmunds was drafted by the Bills in the 1st round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a unique pick as he was only 19 years old at the time, which was unusual for most players entering the NFL. He had 565 combined tackles in 5 years playing for the Buffalo Bills, who will need a new starting inside linebacker.
The team has made a flurry of re-signings over the last 24 hours, including linebacker Matt Milano to a 2-year deal.
