
Buffalo Man Sentenced in Shooting of Friend
Michael Greer, 44, aka “Peanut” of Buffalo, was sentenced to 18 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision, according to a press release from the office of Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Flaherty, Jr.
In April, Greer pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in the First Degree in the shooting death of his friend.
On September 10, 2015, while in his home at 254 Orange Street, Greer fatally shot 33-year old Michael Atkins of Buffalo during an argument while celebrating Greer’s birthday.
