No Sweep For Buffalo Sabres In NHL Playoffs
There will be at least 5 games in the opening round of the NHL playoff series between the Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins.
Boston Takes Game 2 In Series Against Buffalo
The Boston Bruins scored three goals in the 2nd period and added a fourth early in the 3rd period to take game 2 over the Buffalo Sabres 4-2 at KeyBank Center.
The series is now tied at one game apiece and headed to Boston for games three and four, before returning to Buffalo for Game 5.
The night started on a high note for the Buffalo Sabres and Sabrehood as Bills quarterback Josh Allen rallied the fans before the game with a very "Buffalo" beer chug before the game.
That would be the only excitement for Sabre fans until the 3rd period. For the second game in a row, the Sabres didn't score a goal in the 1st or 2nd period. The biggest difference between game 1 and game 2 was that Boston's lead was too much for the Sabres to come back from.

Alex Lyon came to play goalie for the Sabres in the 3rd period after Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen gave up a 4th goal. We will now have to wait and see if Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff sticks with UPL as the starter or lets Alex Lyon get a start in the series. The two goalies split time for much of the regular season.
Game Three is set for Thursday night in Boston, with puck drop set for 7 pm.
