[WATCH] Buffalo Sabres Have Youth Hockey Throwback Moment

If you played hockey as a kid, you probably did what the Sabres had to do often.

Growing up in Western New York means you were probably a part of, or knew someone in, a youth hockey program. From house to travel teams practices and games were early, late, on weekdays, weekends, and even holidays. It meant a busy schedule, especially for our parents who often had to hustle to get us to the rink and on the ice.

They had plenty of shortcuts that you might use for your kids, or yourself (beer league players), today. For example, having all of your equipment on before you even got to the rink, except for your skates. That way there was only one thing to do to get you on the ice. Almost every kid has done this, and the Buffalo Sabres just relived it.

The Sabres are Prague, which is the Capital of the Czech Republic in Europe. They open their regular season there on Friday against the New Jersey Devils. They have been over in Europe since last week where they played an exhibition against EHC Red Bull Munchen in Munich, Germany, and practiced in Prague for almost a week.

We're not sure if the rink they are using doesn't have locker rooms, or maybe doesn't have sufficient ones for an NHL team, but the Sabres showed up to practice getting off their bus in full gear, except for their skates. Take a look:

It's almost like they are walking into their Buffalo Regals practice that their parents dropped them off for! It's awesome, and a fun throwback for them. At least we assume they had fun with it.
