The City of Buffalo Department of Community Services are now accepting applications for Mayor Brown's 2022 Summer Youth Internship (Job) Program.

This is a great opportunity for young adults in Buffalo to gain work experience, make some great networking connections, and potentially learn some important skills that will help for years to come. Oh, and probably the best park is to, of course, get paid.

The Summer Youth Internship Program is set to start on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and is scheduled to run for 6 weeks until August 12th. Young adults will work 20 hours per week for those 6 weeks.

In order to qualify for this program, you must be a resident of the City of Buffalo and be between ages 14 (must turn 14 by March 31, 2022) and 21.

Applications are being accepted online now and must be completed by Friday, April 15, 2022. Please make sure you read and fully complete the application, and submit the requested documents with it, because officials from City Hall will not accept incomplete and/or late applications.

Applicants will need to submit the following items with the application to be considered for employment:

  • Social Security Card
  • Proof of Address (City of Buffalo Residents only)
  • Report Card/Transcript for those enrolled in school
  • Proof of Household Income
  • You can find a copy of the application here on the City of Buffalo Website. Applications can only be submitted online, so if you have any questions, or need any assistance in applying, you can contact The City of Buffalo Department of Community Services here. You can also call their office in Buffalo City Hall at 716-851-4001.
