Check Out This DeLorean Converted Into a Hovercraft

Roads? Where we are going we don't need roads. A body of water wouldn't hurt though.

Matthew Riese raised over $5,500 in a Kickstarter campaign to fulfill his dream of turning a DeLorean, the same car Marty McFly used to go back and forth between present and past, into a working hovercraft. The video above is proof he raised enough money and the conversion was a success.

I'd like to raise enough money to convert a DeLorean into an actual time travel vessel and go back to the point when DeLoreans became the "go to" car for traveling on anything but pavement. I need some clarification on as to why.
