There are few former pro athletes in Buffalo who are more polarizing than wide receiver Cole Beasley.

Beasley was signed by the Bills in the 2019 off-season after spending his entire career to that point with the Dallas Cowboys.

Beasley enjoyed his most success in 2019 and 2020 with the Bills, posting a 67 and 82 catch season, while also posting another 82 catch season in 2021.

He was the perfect safety blanket for Josh Allen in 2019 and excelled in the new pass-heavy offense with Buffalo in 2020 and 2021.

However, most fans weren’t surprised when he was released as a cap casualty in March of 2022, as his play may have been diminishing, which contributed to him not signing with another team until the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. He was cut after two games and announced his retirement.

Beasley is famous for going viral in 2021 with being outspoken against the COVID-19 vaccine on Twitter, which caused an outpouring of opinions from Bills Mafia, who either supported or lashed out at Beasley.

Beasley made news on Twitter again on Thursday, as he quote tweeted a Bleacher Report article about Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving being suspended at least five games by the Nets for publicizing a documentary which had antisemitic hate.

Beasley said this is one thing he “won’t miss about professional sports.”

That caused an influx of replies and one can saying “I’m glad you aren’t in Buffalo.”

Beasley replied “you and me both.”

It seems as if Beasley didn’t appreciate his time in Buffalo as much as Bills fans assumed he did.
