Yesterday, the Bills said on their official social media accounts that there would be no fans at the stadium for the "foreseeable future" but would be working behind the scenes to help ensure fan safety.

On Wednesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo spoke about the possibility of fans at Bills games this season during his COVID-19 update.

According to WIVB's Dave Greber, Cuomo stated that Western New York's positive infection rate is 1.1%, which is "not great."

Cuomo added that the possibility of fans at Bills games is "complicated" by the region's higher infection rate.

Cuomo says that he will tour the stadium and meet with team leadership to see how they can get fans in the stadium at some point. They don't want to cause a "gathering" and he's eager to work it out.

The Bills next home game is Thursday night, October 15th, which is just over two weeks away. Chances are fans will not be able to go to that game, but there's at least some hope fans will be able to get back in Bills Stadium before season's end.
