Defense Dominating Play at Bills Training Camp
Our Bills Training Camp Report is brought to you by WNY Jobs.
NFL officials were on the field for the first time at Buffalo Bills training camp on Wednesday at St. John Fisher in Rochester and it was the longest workout so far at just over two hours. The defense has dominated the last couple of workouts at camp especially on Wednesday.
The defensive line is really causing problems for the offense - chasing the quarterback out of the pocket. The quarterbacks wear red jerseys so it's hands off during practice, but if it was live action the defensive line would have been credited with sacks.
The battles along the line have been getting so intense there have been a couple of scuffles. Rookie linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was mobbed by his teammates after an interception.
The Bills continue to work on kickoff coverage under the new kickoff rules and they also worked on the hurry-up offense and bringing the field goal unit on the field as time was winding down. Stephen Hauschka hit on all but one of his field goal attempts including a 51-yarder.
The Bills have another workout at 8:45 Thursday morning at St. John Fisher and no ticket is needed to get in. Friday's workout is at New Era Field in Orchard Park at 6:15. they're calling it the Return of the Red and Blue. You do need a ticket for that one. Tickets are still available at these locations:
