Father’s Day Activities!
Father’s Day Weekend! Show Dad how much you love him at some of these fantastic events around WNY!
If your Dad is kind of the nautical type he will definitely love to check out the Tall Ships that sailed into Canalside. The Peacemaker is a pretty amazing ship. You’ll get the chance to learn about the history of this American Barquetine that was built on a riverbank in southern Brazil. There are tours running tomorrow for Father’s Day from 10a to 5pm. Admission is extremely cheap for such an awesome tour too! Children 6 and under are free, 7-12 are $3, and Adults are only $5. If you want more details check out www.canalsidebuffal.com
Sticking with the nautical theme, kicking off this weekend is the Spirit of Buffalo Pirate Adventures. This is finally your chance to be a pirate for the day! All cruises include a crew of professional pirates who will entertain you with pirate stories, a treasure hunt, face painting, and so much more! Definitely an adventure the whole family will enjoy!
Finally if Dad likes to keep his feet on land this weekend is also the Allentown Art Festival! Love this Festival! I always go to this with the intention of only buying small items and then find a picture or garden decoration that I must have! There are definitely unique items at this festival you’ll enjoy checking out. If you haven’t ever been to this festival it’s located in the Allentown Historic Preservation District of Buffalo along Delaware Ave. and Allen Street.
