After a season of not going to games -- going to games next season will cost Buffalo Bills season ticket holders more.

The ticket increase will be an average of $8 per game for the upcoming season.

The Buffalo News reports the total overall average price per ticket (including club and regular seats) is $101.69, an 8.6 percent increase from last year.

The reasoning for the increase really comes down to market value, according to Bills officials. The exact average ticket increase is $8.02 per seat, per game.

“We're literally going in row by row, seat by seat, evaluating the season ticket sales history for the last three seasons, if the seat was available on a single-game price, what it sold for, and then if that seat was ever sold on a resale site, what it sold for, and really trying to come up with what we feel is a fair market value for each seat," Chris Colleary, Buffalo Bills president of ticket sales and service, told The Buffalo News.

The Bills are planning on the stadium operating at full capacity. However, if COVID guidelines change for the league or the state, then season ticket holders would get the first chance to get tickets for games, just as they did for the 2020 postseason.

According to the Buffalo News, the Bills helpd off season ticket renewal for a while, waiting to see what progress with COVID vaccinations was looking like.
