It’s Now A Law To Observe Moment Of Silence On 9/11 In NYS Public Schools

The 18-year anniversary of September 11th, 2001 will be this Wednesday.

According to WIVB, a moment of silence on 9/11 will be held at every New York State public school going forward.

The governor's office announced the law and it is effective, immediately.

There's also a goal to “encourage dialogue and education in the classroom” on September 11th (Remembrance Day), according to the press release.
