It's finally here.

The best 11 days of summer in Western New York is upon us, as the Erie County Fair has begun at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.

The fair will run through August 20th, which means that on August 21st we will be looking forward to fall and the start of the school year. The end of the Erie County Fair is the unofficial end of summer in the Buffalo area.

There are a ton of new foods to try this year at the fair and lots of great musical acts as well, including new country star Bailey Zimmerman on Tuesday, August 15th.

Typically in mid-August, the temperatures are hot and humid. However, that will not be the case for this year.

According to 10-day forecasts, Buffalo will not get out of the 70's very much. In fact, we might only reach 80 degrees, twice. That's August 17th and 20th. Most of the days will be in the mid-70's, with lows in the low 60's. We also will have to dodge some rain and thunderstorms.

I can't recall an Erie County Fair being that cool. This might be the coolest fair we have seen, or at least one of the more cold ones we have seen in recent years.

If you're going to the fair, it's a good idea to get some hoodies or rain jackets...you never know when you're going to need them!

The food is the biggest attraction for the Erie County Fair this year and don't wait to go. It's something every Western New Yorker should do every August.
