Will The Buffalo Bills Be Featured On HBO’s Hard Knocks?

This week has been a crazy one for the Bills Mafia and the Buffalo Bills.

The good news is that it seems the team, Josh Allen, and Stefon Diggs have sorted everything out and will be heading to training camp focused on winning the Super Bowl.

So the last thing this team needs is a distraction like HBO filming their "Hard Knocks" series here in Western New York.

So as the Bills head to St. John Fisher, Bills Mafia is asking the question, "Could The Bills be on this season's HBO Hard Knocks?"

WHAT IS HBO "HARD KNOCKS" Series

The HBO series has been around since 2001 and takes viewers inside the inner working of an NFL training camp. Each season a different team is selected for the behind the scenes series.

COULD THE BUFFALO BILLS BE ON HBO'S "HARD KNOCKS"?

The simple answer is no. The NFL and HBO have a list of guidelines for teams that are chosen to be on "Hard Knocks" and the Bills don't meet those guidelines.

WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR BEING ON "HARD KNOCKS"

To qualify for the next edition of the series, an NFL team must not have made the postseason for two straight seasons. Also, the team's coach must be at least in his second year on the job, and the team has not been on the show in the past decade.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR THIS YEAR's "HARD KNOCKS"

There currently are four NFL teams that meet the criteria:

Based on those teams, my best guess for this season's "Hard Knocks" will be the Jets.

Now that Aaron Rodgers is there, having an NFL superstar as part of the series would help with viewership.

For me, a member of the Bills Mafia, any extra distraction for our rival is fantastic. I sure hope it is the Jets this year.
