Tis the season and the Big Guy from the North Pole made a very special appearance in New York.

On Wednesday, November 1st, Santa came to visit the studios of the New 96.1 in Buffalo and help make the switch to all Christmas music.

Santa wanted to give all the kids a chance to grab some free candy on Halloween before he made the journey from the North Pole to Buffalo to bring Christmas music to the 716.

Check out Santa in action with some special guests in the studio when he pushed the magical button to play the first Christmas song of the year on the New 96.1

The New 96.1 will be playing all Christmas music 24/7 through Christmas Day continuing a 30+ year tradition of a radio station in Buffalo playing all Christmas music for the Holiday season.

One of the special guests to join Santa was Buffalo's own Robby Takac from the Goo Goo Dolls. They released a new Christmas song this year called "Who's Gonna Hear Their Wish"

After hitting the button, Santa made his way back to the North Pole to check his list to see who has been naughty and who has been nice this year.

This won't be the last time we see Santa here in New York. He is expected to be back several times over the next several weeks at area parades, stores, and of course going up and down chimneys on Christmas Eve.

If you are in the mood for 24/7 Christmas music, you can listen live HERE.
