🔴 Recall impacts 9 states, including New York State

🔴 Nuts recalled due to possible contamination with Salmonella

🔴 No reports of sickness have been reported at the time of this writing

Wegmans has issued a recall for its store brand of Mix Nuts due to possible contamination with Salmonella.

Wegmans Issues Recall For Store Brand Mixed Nuts

The mixed nuts being recalled are the 34-oz tubs of Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted and 11.5-oz bags of Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted. These nuts were sold at Wegmans in nine states, including in New York State.

The recall comes after the FDA conducted routine testing from the supplier and detected that one lot of raw pistachios tested positive for Salmonella.

Salmonella is a bacterial disease that can cause sickness and even death in humans. Some of the symptoms are fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In extreme cases, Salmonella can cause severe illnesses like arthritis and even kill someone.
