The Special Olympics started as a summer camp for people with intellectual disabilities and has grown immensely.  You can help to continue that growth this Wednesday.

The Special Olympics began back in 1968 and is still going strong today.  Their mission is clear.  It's to " provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community."

You can help to put more athletes on the field this week.

March is the month of giving and Jersey Mike's is hoping to give to Special Olympics, with your help.  They're accepting donations all month long to help out but they're taking the extra step this Wednesday.  They're going to be donating all sales on that day to The Special Olympics.

It's a cool opportunity for you to not only help out a great cause but to get some lunch or dinner for you and your family at the same time.

I want to make sure to be clear here.  That's not all proceeds from sales on Wednesday...that is all sales that are made.  So every penny that you spend at Jersey Mike's will go to help out the mission of the Special Olympics.

The newest location is in Blasdell at 3670 McKinley Parkway.

Maybe this is the day that you buy lunch for the office and have double the impact!
