Josh Allen Critic Called, “An Idiot” by ESPN Analyst
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been one of the top players in the NFL since he was drafted in 2018. He's been an MVP candidate, one of the most clutch players at the position, and scored more total touchdowns than anyone else since 2018. He was even featured on the cover of the Madden NFL video game.
He also has haters.
Allen was the brunt of virtually every single analytics "expert" joke back in 2018. They said he was wildly inaccurate, wreckless, and would never ever make it in the NFL. Most laughed when the Bills traded up to draft him 7th overall. They, of course, were completely wrong, and while several have owned the mistake some are still holding on to the hate despite the production he has had.
In a recent survey of NFL Executives by ESPN, the hate for Josh Allen came out again, but ESPN's Dan Orlovky is here to shut it down.
The unnamed NFL Executive told ESPN,
One of the more overrated players in the NFL... Immense talent but he makes a lot of mistakes. He's underdeveloped at winning at the line of scrimmage, tends to lock on to targets, more of a thrower than precision passer, forces throws into traffic.
Orlovsky, along with "Get Up" host Mike Greenberg, have long defended Allen and this morning was no exception as they defended, bluntly, the Bills' superstar quarterback. Orlovsky on the unnamed NFL exec's quote said, ""He's an idiot... That's moronic..." See the video below:
While Josh is yet to win the big one, there is no doubt he is the reason the Bills are always in the hunt. One player, however good they are, can't literally win every game for their team though. Bills Mafia is certainly hopeful, and many believe, that Josh will get them to the promised land and a Super Bowl win. If not, it won't be because of Allen's lack of abilities.
