The glitz and glamour of Las Vegas was on full display as the hometown Buffalo Bills looked to make the most of their West Coast road trip. After squeaking out a victory in overtime against the Los Angeles Rams, the Bills looked to get another win against the Raiders.

While both teams have had some epic battles against each other over the years, this game is only the 43rd time the Bills and Raiders have faced each other since 1960.

A slow and relatively low-scoring first half, with the teams going into the break tied at 13, got pushed out of the way quickly with a second half that saw lots of action and the game coming down to a few big plays that made it clear that the last team with the ball would be who would walk away with the victory.

In the end, it was the combination of two kicks from Tyler Bass' foot, a big scoring run from James Cook, and a 12-yard touchdown catch from Keon Coleman that gave Buffalo enough points to hold off the Raiders' last-minute push.

James Cook, the NFL's leading rusher, ended the game with 95 yards gained on the ground with a touchdown. JA17 added 255 yards passing and two touchdowns, while completing nearly 70% of his passes against Maxx Crosby and a Raiders defense that was getting after Allen all game.

While the Bills grabbed the victory, there are some issues that the team is dealing with that need to be resolved. Not only did the team get penalized 8 times during the game, including a crucial pass interference that gave the Raiders prime field position; starting defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson got ejected from the game after spitting at a couple of Raiders players.

Now, with the first 6 weeks of the NFL season done, the team is heading into the bye week to get some rest and to recharge the players' batteries.
