Josh Allen Says He Couldn’t Say Everything Today at Practice

Bills training camp kicked off today at St. John Fisher University. There will be plenty of competition at Cornerback, Wide Receiver, and Defensive Line. Where we know the Bills are strong is at Quarterback with reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen at the helm.

Josh had a good day of practice as he worked with new additions like Josh Palmer and  Elijah Moore to develop chemistry. He signed autographs for kids and, noticeably, had a few more cameras around him. Hard Knocks was dialed into Josh.

Hard Knocks will document training camp with the Bills, which premieres on HBO and Max on August 5. The show will give insight that we have never had before into the inner workings of the Bills, their coaches, and players. No one is off limits, including their MVP.

Josh revealed he was mic'ed up today for Hard Knocks, and it made him a little passive about what he might normally say.

There's a lot of nerves. It's miced up today. I don't love doing that and feel like I can't say everything I want to say, but... it's cool. Obviously, we know we have hard knocks in house, and every one of them has been so awesome so far. -Josh Allen

Allen said, specifically, he worries about what his mom might think, making him be extra careful.

...try not to cuss as much. I mean, I know it's HBO, so I'm sure it goes on there if they wanted to. At the same time, you know, just making sure that, my mom, anything that I say there, my mom would be okay with. -Josh Allen

It will be very interesting to see how similar, or different, players and staff are for the Bills when Hard Knocks comes out. I have a feeling we will all walk away being even more impressed with their family-like dynamic. That's based on what we generally hear about them as a group. You can expect haters to also chime in, Bills Mafia, on the regular.

Training camp continues tomorrow at St. John Fisher University at 9:45 am and runs through August 7.
