Keon Coleman Expected To Be Benched Again By Buffalo Bills
The latest reports ahead of the Buffalo Bills' Thursday Night football game against the Texans have Keon Coleman being benched again by the Bills.
The second-year wide receiver was a healthy scratch this past Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because he was late for a team meeting last Friday. It looks like Coleman will be a healthy scratch again for tonight's game.
Buffalo Bills Missing Several Offensive Players For Houston Game
It is a bit shocking that Keon Coleman would be a healthy scratch since the Bills have several offensive players already out due to injuries. Dalton Kincaid, Mecole Hardman, and Curtis Samuel are all out for tonight's game due to injuries. Wide receiver Khalil Shakir also missed practice this week due to personal reasons, but he is expected to play in tonight's game against the Texans.
If Coleman is benched for this game, it will be the 3rd time in his career that he has been punished by the coaches for missing or showing up for a team meeting. Coleman was a 2nd round draft pick by the Bills in the 2024 draft.
The big question for the Bills brass is what to do with the wide receiver for the rest of the season and in the offseason. Do they continue to keep a potential weapon on the bench as they fight for a playoff spot, or do they look past locker-room issues and put him on the field if they think he can help the team win?
