A few years ago Buffalo's 'More than Me' had the honor of opening up for the likes of Paul McCartney and Pearl Jam at the Hard Rock Cafe's Annual Concert. This year another local band, Whiskey Reverb, from Niagara Falls is in the top 10. They currently have over 1,000 votes and sit in 7th place in the Hard Rock's Global Battle of the Bands competition and must stare down 85 other Hard Rock winners from across the world for the right to open up for Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon in London. First round voting ends April 24, and they must finish in the Top 10 to move on. Western New York can help their cause by voting for them on the Hard Rock's Facebook page. It would be a huge statement for the local music scene to get another band on the big stage.
