Lockport To Get New Skate Park With Help From Tony Hawk’s Foundation

Lockport is getting a new skate park.

The city was the recipient of a grant through the Tony Hawk Foundation and Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation -- both grants total $600,000 for the new skate park.

The city of Lockport must contribute $250,000 toward the new concrete skatepark, which is set to open in 2021, according to WKBW.

"The current skatepark is made of wood and was built in 2007, which has caused concerns about safety and deterioration," reports WKBW.
