Lt. Governor Says Cuomo’s Tour of Bills Stadium “Put On The Back-Burner”

Back in September, Governor Andrew Cuomo said he would take a tour of Bills Stadium with the team and county, trying to find a way to let fans back into the stadium in a safe and socially distant-friendly way.

However, there is still no word on when that will exactly happen.

According to WKBW, Lt. Governor Kathy Hocul says that tour of the Bills Stadium has been put on the "back-burner."

“He’s been dealing with a lot of hot spots (COVID-19) downstate,” she said.

Bills fans and players are growing anxious and frustrated as the regular season is going on six weeks into the 2020 regular season and there will be only five home games remaining after Monday evening's game i Orchard Park against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz also had thoughts on the possibility of fans allowed back in Bills Stadium this fall.

“The Bills and I are on the same page, we don’t see fans in the stands for the foreseeable future,” Poloncarz said.

If fans are allowed back in at some point this season, time is certainly running out. The proposed plan was for 7,000 people, which is 10 percent of the stadium capacity.
